Inspired by a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE NEEDLE GIRL follows Karoline (Vic Carmen Sonne), a young factory worker struggling to survive in post-war Copenhagen. When she is unemployed, abandoned, and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), a wealthy woman who runs an illegal adoption agency and helps mothers find foster families for their unwanted children. With nowhere else to go, Caroline takes on the role of nanny. The two women form a strong bond, but her world is shattered when Caroline discovers the shocking truth behind her work.
