This is one of those rare cases where a film gets better the longer you watch it. I’d say if you can get past the first 20 minutes of the game, you’ll start to appreciate its strengths.
Visually, the film looks stunning at times, with long takes and expressive camera choices
Although clearly limited by the weak writing, the lead actors do a good job portraying complex characters. But the next second the film looks like the editor decided to test every button in Adobe Premiere and forget about any sense of taste or moderation.

The music is strong, with some punch, especially when they try to inject some Russian spirit into the music selection. And the film, for all its questionable choices and subtextual writing, manages to capture at least some of the magic that should have been there.
