He is smart. He is Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. Angel Batista wasn’t always played by David Zayas in Season 8. His son David Zayas Jr.
Dexter Morgan: I lived in the dark for a long time
plays the father in some shots, as the two look strikingly alike. Dexter, seen in the first season, has a large scar on his left side. Later in the second season, the scar moved to the right side while the left side went unnoticed. Over the years my eyes adjusted until darkness became my world and I began to see.
Fortunately, Dexter; absolutely delivers
64th Annual Golden Globe Awards (2007). Main theme written by Rolf Kent, performed by Rolf Kent. I read Lindsay’s excellent books a while back – Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter – and when I heard they were going to be a series I was very excited. So much so, in fact, that I feared disappointment simply because my standards were so high.
He’s a monster, but totally relatable
The show maintains the uncomfortable atmosphere of the novels more accurately than one might expect, and Dexter (played by Hall) is everything. The visuals of the show are stunning to say the least. Disturbing for sure, but more than that, fascinating. It’s impossible not to encounter Dexter while watching the series.
